Songwriter Who Penned Hits for Elvis, Dies

Aaron Schroeder, the songwriter who penned hits for Elvis Presley, has passed away on 1 December 2009, in New Jersey, America. Schroeder, who had been suffering from a form of Alzheimer’s disease, died at the age of 84, and is survived by his wife and his daughter.

He had written the Elvis hits “It’s Now Or Never”, “A Big Hunk O’ Love”, and “Stuck On You’ among others, and has also helped create hit singles for Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Chaka Khan and many others. He was responsible for “Where Are You”, theme song from Scooby-Doo.
